WHAT IS THERMOGRAPHY?
Thermography is the use of specialized cameras to detect and produce images of radiation, also called thermograms, in the long-infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum (9-14 μm). The human eye cannot see this radiation. Instead, we perceive it as heat. All objects above –459.67°F emit infrared, thus thermography allows us to see variations in temperature.
Our Certified Professional Inspector® will scan various elements in your home to look for anomalies. Where an anomaly is found, a problem like electrical over-heating, moisture intrusion, missing insulation, or air leakage could exist.
CERTIFIED INFRARED INSPECTION
ADVANTAGES OF THERMOGRAPHY
CONDITIONS DETECTABLE BY INFRARED INSPECTIONS
Electrical - Defective equipment or appliances & faulty or loose wiring, breakers, and fuses
Moisture intrusion / Structural concerns - Foundation cracks & roof or ceiling leaks & hidden moisture intrusion & mold or termite nests
Energy efficiency - Air infiltration & missing insulation & ventilation problems & heat or energy loss & pipe or duct leaks
BENEFITS OF INFRARED INSPECTIONS
Locate potential problems - Prevent catastrophic failures & detect electrical issues & lower incidence of fires & detect moisture intrusion
Find cost savings - Detect energy waste & extend equipment/appliance life & lower repair costs & no service interruption during inspection & prevent accidents & lower insurance premiums due to reduced losses
